Full Cycle is an independent community bike project based in Kingston upon Thames where the team’s love of cycling is only matched by their passion for recycling. Offering a range of second-hand bikes all lovingly restored by volunteers, as well as popular workshops and affordable repair services, Full Cycle is providing people from all backgrounds with access to affordable cycling in the capital, promoting well-being while making the neighbourhood a more liveable and breathable place for everyone.

The Branding

As a project that encourages people of all backgrounds to connect with the scheme, it was essential for me to make the identity simple and approachable, while still staying distinctive from a commercial point of view.

Full Cycle’s logo represents their core values of access to bikes, community, growing skills and sustainability through an instantly recognisable symbol. The icon is paired with the Nazare semi-serif typeface, created by Natanael Gama, which I believe is effective for display use and works well for their signage and large-scale event graphics.
